I had a wonderful evening at Playwright. I met the owner John and was immediately struck by his warm, welcoming demeanor. As we chatted, his passion for craft beer and meeting people became evident - he's been in the industry for over two decades and knows his brews inside and out. The pub itself has this perfect balance of cozy traditional charm and modern comfort, with rich wooden furnishings and soft ambient lighting that creates an inviting atmosphere.

Had a great experience at this place. Good vibes, a zillion taps, and lots of TV's. Staff was great and dealt with a group of terrible customers quite professionally --- it's amazing what some people think is appropriate behavior and credit to the staff for taking it in stride. Take other recent negative reviews with a grain of salt, and know that Nadia at the bar and our server Anna were great. Definitely recommend

All around enjoyable bar. I think places should give seat preference when you make a reservation. Kind of stuck in a corner. Food was good, cocktail was average but the beer was cold and fresh. Decorated nicely for the holiday. Great place to watch a game with a lively crowd.

Dalton's was a fun place, and a great place to watch a Giants game and get the authentic New York experience. The waitress was sweet, but not overly attentive. Of course, they were very busy, so that's to be expected and not a knock on her. I ordered a lemonade, which was way over carbonated, but perhaps that's just the way they make them there. My guest said that the wings were great, and my food was pretty good as well. The worst part of the experience was that there was this guy that was talking way too loudly at one of the tables near us, to the point of literally screaming to his guests. It's not really the restaurant's fault, but I have no idea why he felt the need to talk that loudly. All-in-all, a fun place, would recommend.

This place was one of our first stops in New York. We loved it so much we went back again! Met Kurt, their Frank Sinatra singer! He was amazing!! Met the owner as well. He is a very nice guy! The cocktails were great. My husband loved Jameson Orange and ginger ale with a slice of orange, so that was his drink choice, and I had a Yuengling and a candy can cocktail. (Santa's something? ) If you're in New York, go! We started on the first floor and ended up on the 2nd floor to watch Kurt! You don't regret it! The French onion soup was too die for! All of their food is delicious! Service is great as well! Oh, and a bonus was, got to meet Buddy the Elf and his Reindeer! So much fun!

Amazing chicken tenders. I mean truly amazing gourmet level. But it just comes without fries which I didn’t realize. So it was 12.99 for chicken tenders and 6.99 for fries ( a little steep for fries). 5$ draft beer on Sundays from 7pm - midnight is hard to beat. Good atmosphere if you want a chill environment to watch sports.

We were looking for a sports bar that broadcasts NFL games and after some research we came across this place. The photos that had already been posted suggested that it was an "Eagles-friendly" bar, which I, as an Eagles fan, really liked. The food looked great too and as luck would have it, it was only a 5-minute walk from our hotel. We couldn't make a reservation, so we arrived in good time before the game started, dressed up in Eagles gear, and got a great seat at the bar. The ambience is more than worthy of a cool sports bar. The walls are decorated with various NFL paraphernalia (Eagles and Penn State), but hockey and baseball fans are not left out either. The service was TOP, the atmosphere was great and the food - we didn't have better burgers (and fries) during our whole NYC trip. And unbelievably, at really reasonable prices. We were so impressed that we came back twice more afterwards. Rating: Highly recommended, we will definitely come back here when we get the chance to visit NY again! Keep it up guys!

Came here because it was the least crowded bar. No line and seemed like an alternative to other bars. My friend and I just wanted to catch and seemed fine until a bunch of people started coming in. Considering it’s by NYU I get it’ll get a lot of college students. The songs they played were a mixture of everything and some of pop songs that are out now. Drinks were a bit mix for a bar. I just wanted a spritz and it didn’t taste great at all. Lesson learned. Irish pub, stick to simpler drinks. Although the staff were friendly from the security to the bartenders, the crowd wasn’t really a vibe.

Had a blackened salmon salad and Guinness 0%. Say at the bar. Beautiful bar, bar keep, Annie, was not very kind, not a good sign as I am very sweet and usually loved by all. Salad was good not great. Salmon was not blackened, which is searing with an iron skillet with a lot of spice, Cajun style. It was instead obviously cooked on a griddle, rather dry, cooked through, not seared, should have known better than to order a Cajun dish at an Irish pub but then why was it on the menu instead of something more Irish such as prawns or something? The arugula and other ingredients were first rate though and the place is so pretty that I give it 4 stars!❤️

Out-of-Towners! We wanted to find a bar showing the NOLA Saints game. We went to one bar & NOPE! We randomly walked around and stumbled upon Turnmill Bar with hopes. No Saints game 😕 BUT sat at the bar to regroup & get drinks. This one has a nice atmosphere. We could tell this place was just getting amped up for “game-day”. Regulars / Friends started showing up with jerseys on. My boyfriend asked our sweet bartender if they could change the TV to our game. My boyfriend even said we could move to a table so they dont have to change the TVs at the bar. (We do understand the gaints game will be more important than ours) The manager was AMAZING & willing to change the tv in front of us at the bar so we dont have to move. With me managing a sports bar myself, I was impressed! We ended up staying there through the whole game. Got more drinks and food. I highly recommend the Summer Grace, Espresso Martini and the Jessie’s Spring drinks. ALSO the wings! ❤️ We will be back. Thanks for making our game-day perfect! We loved the atmosphere and felt like we found a gem of a regular neighbor style bar.❤️

We had a reservation, and we were seated right away. Unfortunately, it took a full hour to even get a pitcher of water. The staff working were very friendly, but they did not have enough employees working the day we were there. I had a classic cheeseburger with homemade tater tots. The food was outstanding. We would have spent so much more money on drinks if we had service. While it was not a good first impression for me, if you are a Gamecocks fan in NYC, you need to check out the Mason Jar.

Overlook was great for atmosphere BUT awful for food and drinks. Srumbled upon this spot and saw decent reviews so we tried it. It was Karaoke night which was entertaining but I should've noticed that no one was eating. The appetizer sample platter disappointed in every way possible. No seasoning outside of dipping sauces offered and adding salt didn't help at all. The chicken tenders were cutlet sliced into strips and the spinach dip was pink! Drinks were not very strong and shots were overpriced. Don't recommend unless you're just going for Karaoke.

Snafu is a hidden gem with a laid-back vibe that’s perfect for unwinding with friends. The drinks are strong, reasonably priced, and served by a friendly staff who keep the energy upbeat. The cozy atmosphere, with its dim lighting and relaxed crowd, makes it a great spot for casual hangs or a fun night out. Whether you’re stopping by for happy hour or staying late, Snafu delivers a reliably good time!

If David Levy ran a pub, this would be it. Beer served in plastic cups by rude staff at outrageous prices. The decor hasn’t been updated since Bill Nicholson managed spurs. As a Spurs fan even I would call this pub Spursy. The only reason so gave it 3 stars is because of the supporters and the atmosphere. As a Spurs fan I know my lot is to suffer, this is just another reason to suffer.

In town from out of state, looking for a place to have a few drinks, some food and watch the football games. The vibe and atmosphere are pretty nice. There’s a good amount of tv’s with a good selection of games playing. That’s about the best of it. The service is mediocre. The food, or at least what we sampled of it, is sub-par. We ordered the Bavarian pretzels as an appetizer and it took close to 45 minutes to come out. It was supposed to come with beer cheese and honey mustard. After the close to 45 minute wait, we were served three pretzel rods with the beer cheese. No honey mustard. We asked about the honey mustard and were informed they stopped carrying it a few months ago. Maybe update the menu? Or at least let us know the menu offering has changed. The pretzels themselves weren’t bad but the beer cheese was lukewarm and gritty. Possibly separated. We got our check and moved on. Perhaps the rest of the food is better but our experience was severely lacking. We won’t be coming back or recommending this establishment.

We had a great time at the Times Square Dave & Busters Times. Whoever runs this operation deserves a gold star because we wound up staying all day (6-7hrs). Which I had not planned. Had lunch and dinner there. Great food server’s Kim, Anthony, Harrison and even the security guard was friendly. As someone dropped their lotion and the security guy thought it was mine and tried to return it to me but it wasn’t. The servers did a great job clearing the table, bringing over a glass of water, checking in every so often.

Finally, we decided to try our luck one afternoon and managed to squeeze in—it’s tiny but absolutely fantastic! The authentic bar, filled with boxing memorabilia, was exactly what we had hoped for. The bartender was incredibly friendly, and we were shocked (in the best way) when our two large beers cost only $7! It’s an absolute must-visit—if you can find a spot!

Do not recommend. Fraudulent staff. I came here for a friend’s birthday and ordered a single non-alcoholic Sam Adam’s beer. Mistakingly I left my card at the bar and had to return the next day to retrieve it. A staff member returned my card with a receipt and advised that they automatically apply a 20% tip. When I got home and inspected the receipt, I couldn’t help but think $17.47 was a very high total to be charged for one non alcoholic beer and a tip. I turned the receipt over to see that someone wrote “jamo $14” on the back. Clearly when closing for the night, one of the staff members decided to take it upon themselves and charge me for a Jameson instead of what I ordered to rip me off. Not returning to a bar that lacks integrity this way.

Service and atmosphere were exceptional, from the valet , hostess, the Maitre’D bussers and servers. Appetizers were delicious, Zucchini and eggplant chips were awesome, sides of mash potatoes and crispy Brussel sprout leaves were just as good. Ending desserts were extremely large and tasty. My old fashion drink was spot on good. The only thing that was not to my liking was my Colorado rib eye steak. The meat itself was tender, but I ordered it medium well, specifically saying 160-165°, (medium well.) It came out exactly the same as my wife’s medium rare. The server offered to take it back and cook it some more, but that’s just not what I do. I brought it home for my son, who air fried it to his liking.

Recommended for wings, sports and groups! This is a great local establishment, it is relaxed, tons of seating (with a backroom) and leaps of TVs to watch any game that's on (ask the friendly staff for your pick!). The wings continue to be crispy. The bucket of 50 you can split into 2 flavors, we did mild and medium, but so many more and spicy levels. We enjoyed the new fried cheese curds, omg the aioli sauce is the best, sweet potato fries, soft pretzels and chicken fingers. Enjoy, I always look forward to coming back here!!

The atmosphere is incredible—clean, welcoming, and lively, with great music playing in the background that adds to the experience without overpowering conversation. The food? Absolutely amazing. Their wings are a standout—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and some of the best I’ve ever had. But it doesn’t stop there. The burgers, fries, and quesadillas are just as incredible, each dish cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. On top of all that, the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. I do not recommend this place at all. Only reason it might be okay is if you drink beer and want catch some sports nothing more. 4 of us sat at the edge of a large time. We didn't see a waitress so we ordered our drinks at the bar and went back to the table. The cocktails were terrible not very balanced at all. A little later we ordered wings from the waitress they weren't cooked well we didn't finish ours and our friends sent theirs back. A few other people sat at the other ended of the table and ordered from the bar so they had numbers for their food. When we tabbed out we were charged a 20 percent large group gratitude. Very shady.

Many other spaces nearby are far more expensive. We also liked being able to bring our own food in. We did order pizzas through them, but would maybe recommend just bringing your own. They weren’t super great, but definitely accomplished their goal of feeding the kiddos and soaking up some booze. Cocktails were great (get the thin ice)! Service was speedy and we really loved the privacy of the back room. Definitely a great option for hosting.
